PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide such a reproducing system that a picture displayed when requesting settings of Entry Point is equalized to a picture which is started reproducing by requesting to jump to the Entry Point. SOLUTION: A recorder stores so that PTS indicating a reproduction time in each picture by a picture sending time information storage 119 corresponds to a transfer time to a reproducing device of a leading packet constituting a picture, and the reproduction device holds the PTS of images during the reproduction by a PTS control unit 107. When a user requests to set Entry Point, the reproducing device transfers the PTS held by the PTS control unit 107 to the recorder. The recorder specifies the transfer time of a packet corresponding to the received PTS by retrieving the picture sending time information storage 119, and writes the transfer time on a record medium 114 as the Entry Point.
