PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the breakage of ribs formed on the internal surfaces of the side sections of a cover. SOLUTION: The housing of electronic equipment is constituted of a body 1 attached to a built surface and the cover 2 which covers the front face of the body 1. The body 1 has a pair of projecting pieces 15 and 16 on the front face of its bottom section 10 and a pair or grooves extended to the vicinity of the edge section of the front face of the bottom section 10 from the built surface side on the external surfaces of its upper and lower side sections. The cover 2 has a pair of projecting sections which are fit in the grooves beyond the edge section of the front face of the bottom section 10 at the ends of the openings of the internal surfaces of its upper and lower side sections and a plurality of ribs 211 and 221 which are extended to the vicinities of the margins of the openings from the internal surface of its bottom section 20 on the internal surfaces of its left and right side sections 21 and 22. The cover 2 is detachably attached to the body 1 when the projecting sections of the cover 2 are fit in the grooves of the body 1 and brought into contact with the front ends of the grooves and the ribs 221 and 221 are brought into contact with the front face of the bottom section 20. On the internal surface of the bottom section 20 of the cover 2, a plurality of ribs 201 and 202 which come into contact with the front edge sections 15b and 16b of the projecting pieces 15 and 16 in a crossing state are provided.
