PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily open and close a first and a second shutter plates which open and close an opening for recording and/or reproducing provided on a front or rear side of a shell. SOLUTION: The information recording medium cartridge 1 is provided with a disk 2, a shell 3 housing the disk 2, the first and the second shutter plates 41, 42 to open and close an opening 31 for recording and/or reproducing on either one of the front or rear side of the shell 3, a first and a second slide members 71, 72 fixed to back face of the first and second shutter plates 41, 42, and a guide mechanism in which the first and the second slide members are slidably fixed to the shell 3 to slide the shutter 4 between the first position of closing the opening 31 and the second position of opening the opening 31. A shutter releasing member engaging section 9 engaged by a shutter releasing member on the side of a drive device is provided at the center of the back face of the first and the second shutter plates 41 and 42.
