PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radar detector which has its operability improved and can notify a user that speed control is carried out in the area of the travel. SOLUTION: The radar detector is equipped with a receiving means 3 which receives a speed control radio wave, a main body part 11 constituted including a microcomputer 12 which performs specific control according to the signal received by the receiving means 3, and a power supply line 8 which is connected to the main body part 11 and supplies electric power to the main body part 11 and further equipped with a communication line 13 which is connected to the main body part 11 and enables a communication with the outside, and the microcomputer 12 performs specific control according to a signal received from outside through the communication line 13.
