PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide pattern recognizing method and device and a pattern recognition program capable of improving pattern recognition performance by using data with data having a class label and data having no class label mixed and enabling the identification device of each class to simultaneously perform learning. SOLUTION: The identification device of each class is represented by a linear sum of K pieces of probability density functions in pattern recognition processing that classifies a characteristic vector obtained as an observation result of a certain pattern into any of Y classes, identification devices of all classes are made to simultaneously perform learning by using mixed data of data having a class label with a plurality of characteristic vectors and a class label to which each characteristic vector belongs attached thereto and data having no class label composed only of a plurality of characteristic vectors, and a class to which a characteristic vector belongs is recognized by using the identification devices that have performed learning.
