PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To record a signal always by optimum recording current on a magnetic recording medium whose magnetic properties such as a coercive force change in response to an ambient temperature change. SOLUTION: In a recording amplifier 15A, a modulating signal is subjected to amplitude-amplification at a recording adder 41 to be inputted to an adder 45, a bias signal generated by a bias signal generating circuit 42 is changed for amplitude by the change of a resistance value exhibited by a first variable resistive element 43 according to a temperature change to be inputted to the adder 45, and a recording signal superposing the bias signal on the modulating signal at the adder 45 is supplied as total recording current to a recording head 16.
