PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a DC motor rotation principle explanation device for easily understanding a DC motor by visually judging the rotation principle of the DC motor. SOLUTION: The device is provided with an armature shaft 4 which can be rotated manually, a simulated armature 6 and simulated commutators 8 and 9 attached to the armature shaft, a pair of simulated fixed field magnetic poles 10 and 11 arranged facing the magnetic pole parts 6a and 6b of the armature 6, the parts 6a and 6b of the armature 6, N/S polarity display lamps 24 to 27 respectively installed at a pair of the magnetic poles 10 and 11, a means for switching the lighting of the lamps 20 to 23 via the commutators 8 and 9, and a means for switching the lighting of the lamps 24 to 27 installed at a pair of the magnetic poles 10 and 11. The rotation of the armature 6 is learned by the lighting state of the lamps 20 to 23 of the simulated armature and the lamps 24 to 27 of the simulated fixed field magnetic poles.
