PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging device forming a high-quality image by detecting temperature with high reliability, even in the case of constitution having a separation claw provided in contact with the surface of a thermal fixing roller, preventing overshooting in an overheat state or the occurrence of waveform shape of a pressuring fixing belt to be used, even when warming-up time is shortened by thinning the thermal fixing roller in thickness and reducing heat capacity, facilitating the adjustment of the press-contact of the pressuring fixing belt with the wide surface of the thermal fixing roller at a low pressure and performing thermal fixing by press-contact at a specified temperature. SOLUTION: This imaging device is constituted of the thermal fixing roller 2 for heating a toner image (T), formed on a body to be transferred (P) by a toner image forming means 1 and thermally fixing it, the separation claw 3 separating the body to be transferred (P) from the roller 2, and a temperature measuring means 4 measuring the temperature at the position of the claw 3 which is not superposed on the position in the outer peripheral direction on the outer peripheral surface 2a of the roller 2.
