The platform is fitted with a treadmill in the form of an endless running strip (1) which is fixed to two rollers, one of which is motorized. The strip and rollers are mounted on a support frame (4). One of the frame ends is hinged to a fixed structure (5) which has means ensuring the frame is inclined in a controlled manner and does not exceed the plane determined by the running strip irrespective of the frame position. The frame hinged side comprises protective means serving as a user support and retaining surface (21).
