PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic operating and control system that monitors the operating conditions of each of home electric appliances operated simultaneously at home, and that harmonizes and controls each appliance so as not to exceed certain operating conditions. SOLUTION: A function is provided by suppressing total consumed power below a preset value so that the consumed power of a plurality of home electric appliances, to which an appliance controlling device 1 is connected for the control, does not exceed the preset value or when it has exceeded the value by deferring a period of time when the operation is interrupted. In a rice- cooking jar 3e, the cooking ends up with a bad finish if the operation is interrupted during cooking period. In an electric pot 3f, in contrast, it is good enough to get water boiled at the end of operation time. Thus, the power consumption by other appliances is avoided during these periods of time. |
