PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make memory cost reduction consistent with high interpolation accuracy, which has been conventionally difficult. SOLUTION: This interpolator is provided with a half band filter, a first multi-phase filter, a second multi-phase filter and a linear interpolating filter. Each of multi-phase filters 5 performs interpolation before and after an interpolating time point (Δt/Tr1 ) designated by a control signal (S).
