PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an Internet access system and an Internet access method for easily accessing the Internet by easily and simply inputting an Internet address such as a URL(Uniform Resource Locator). SOLUTION: This Internet access system is provided with: a reading device 1 for reading and inputting, in a batch, a first symbol column described in a fixed range; a URL conversion table 6 in which the first symbol column and the URL or IP(Internet Protocol) address of the Internet are directly or indirectly correlated to each other; a URL retrieving means 5a for directly or indirectly acquiring the first symbol column and converting this into the URL by using the URL conversion table 6; and a URL access means for accessing the Internet site pertinent to the URL.
