PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal fuse having small contact resistance and stable working. SOLUTION: This thermal fuse is provided with a hollow case 1 having an opening, a body held in the case 1 and made of an insulation material, lead conductors held by the body side by side, electrodes jointed to the respective end parts of the lead conductors which project toward the bottom part inside the case 1, with a metal having a first melting point, and a fusible part having a second melting point and mounted between the bottom part of the case 1 and the electrodes. The second melting point is equal to or higher than the first melting point.
