PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high frequency accelerator and a circular accelerator using the accelerator which keep an updating control of a frequency setting value following a change of a deflection magnetic field intensity and a real-time nature of a frequency feedback control of a fundamental wave signal, and to achieve feedback control of the amplitude and the phase with a digital signal process in a higher harmonic wave signal having a frequency which is an integral multiple of that of the fundamental wave signal. SOLUTION: A first digital calculation means 34a which controls by feedback frequencies of a fundamental wave signal and a higher harmonic wave signal having a frequency of an integral multiple of that of the fundamental wave, and a second digital calculation means 34b which controls by feedback at least phases of the fundamental wave signal and a higher harmonic wave signal having a frequency which is an integral multiple of that of the fundamental wave, are provided separately, accelerating voltage applied to an acceleration cavity 2 is controlled by a frequency instruction value, a phase instruction value and an amplitude instruction value of the fundamental wave signal and the higher harmonic wave signal having a frequency which is an integral multiple of that of the fundamental wave outputted from the first and second digital calculation means 34a, 34b.
