PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a key switch for an operation panel which is capable of absorbing a mounting error in assembly, is easy to assemble and has proper appearance after finish. SOLUTION: This key switch for an operation panel is operated by depressing key tops 5 respectively projected from plural window holes 1a formed in a panel 1. The key switch 3 comprises the key top 5, a body 4 and a movable shaft 6 used for turning on and off a contact, by vertically movably projecting from the upper part of the body and connected to the key top 5. The key top 5 is provided with a lock part 7, comprising a projection part 7a for projecting the lower part downward and bulging the lower end part so as to be locked to the movable shaft 6. The movable shaft 6 is provided with an engagement part 8, comprising a recessed slot 8a with the upper part being narrowed, so as to insert the projection part 7a by laterally sliding it from the side face in response to the cross section of the projection part 7a. The lock part 7a and the engagement part 8 are respectively formed, by being mutually provided with a predetermined space 3a which is capable of adjusting displacement of the key top 5.
