PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To constitute a loading controller in such a manner that a disk tray can be stopped at a prescribed position by impressing a driving voltage to a motor for a prescribed time and that the disk tray can be stopped at the prescribed position by detecting the driving current or driving voltage of the motor and stopping the motor. SOLUTION: The loading device of an optical disk recording and reproducing device is constituted to move the disk tray by impressing the driving voltage to the motor for the time longer by the prescribed time than the time when the disk tray is moved from an open position to a close position or from the close position to the open position. The motor is stopped when the driving current of the motor after starting exceeds the prescribed current value or when the driving voltage falls below the prescribed voltage value.
