PURPOSE: A method for producing a mugwort extract solution used as a food additive is provided, thereby producing various foods containing the mugwort extract solution and decreasing the production costs of the mugwort extract solution. CONSTITUTION: The method for producing a mugwort extract solution used as a food additive comprises the steps of: washing mugworts collected from the field with water, adding cinnamic acetate into the mugworts, and acidifying the mugworts with glacial acetic acid; adding sodium hydroxide into the mugworts, and heating them in a pressure vessel at 200 deg. C for 5 to 10 minutes; dipping the heated mugworts into cold saline water to cool the mugworts and remove toxic materials therefrom; removing water from the mugworts until the water content reaches 5 to 10%; adding an adhesive into the mugworts, and pulverizing the mugworts until the particle size becomes 200 to 400 mesh; and packaging and freezing the pulverized mugworts. |
