Data transmission and reception in code division multiple access system by combining initial and subsequent re-transmissions by weightings according to bit reliability

A cyclical redundancy check (CRC) part (402) receives transmission data and adds CRC for error checking, a channel coder (404) codes the received data, a rate matcher (406) performs rate matching through repetition and puncturing on the coded bits and systematic and parity bits are distributed by a distributor (408) to interleavers (410,412). A reliability determination part (414) decides reliabilities assigned to received coded bits and the signal is converted by a serial-to parallel converter (416) and is modulated by a modulator (418). Independent claims are included for transmission apparatus, for retransmission apparatus and for a data receiving method.
