PURPOSE: To prevent displacement of a squeeze roll. CONSTITUTION: A rotating shaft 34 of a squeeze roll 8 is supported rotatably by shaft bearings 36a, 36b in a through-hole 35 of bearing boxes 23a, 23b. The rotating shaft 34 is supported by taper rollers 37 installed on the shaft bearings 36a, 36b. Both flanks 28a, 29a of the bearing boxes 23a, 23b are formed into a taper shape and fixed by pressure of side plates 24a, 24b. A pair of spacers 32 to adjust the height of the squeeze roll are installed between an upper enlarged-diameter part 34a of the rotating shaft 34 and the squeeze roll 8. The rotating shaft 34 of the squeeze roll 8 is tightly inserted into the bearing boxes by use of double nuts and thereby becomes adjustable in accordance with abrasion of the taper rollers 37 and taper surfaces 34b, 34c of the rotating shaft 34.
