COPYRIGHT MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide technique for a browser of a web site to investigate the contents to be protected by copyright being innumerably scattered in vast environment such as the Internet. SOLUTION: This system is constituted of a terminal and a server. The server is provided with a data base to store copyright information, a copyright information transmitting means to transmit the copyright information to the terminal by using an electronic communication network and a copyright piracy information receiving means to receive copyright piracy information given from the terminal. The terminal is provided with a copyright information acquiring means to obtain the copyright information stored in the server, a copyright piracy discovering means to investigate the copyright piracy of the contents in the web page being browsed based on the acquired copyright information and a copyright piracy informing means to inform the server of the discovered copyright piracy information. Thus, anyone can disclose the web page including the illegal contents to violate the copyright.
