摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To constitute a drive circuit of a switched reluctance motor at a low cost. SOLUTION: A four-phase switched reluctance motor is composed of the combination of two two-phase motors. The respective two-phase motors are driven by two three-phase brushless motor drive modules 4 and 5 respectively. Respective exciting coils 3a-3d are connected with each other, so as to make protective diodes for switching devices used as circulating/regenerative current diodes. As a plurality of three-phase brushless motor drive modules are used for providing the circulating/regenerative current diodes of the switched reluctance motor, a drive circuit same as the drive circuit for the switched reluctance motor can be constituted. With such a constitution, the existing, available, and low cost drive modules can be used, so that the drive circuit of the switched reluctance motor can be constituted more easily and at a lower cost, in comparison with the conventional constitution, where respective devices are constructed from components which are connected with each other to constitute a drive circuit.
