To clean and/or press garments, using a hollow dummy (6) with perforations and/or slits (7,8), the garment on the dummy is placed within a rotating drum and air is blown into the garment during drum rotation. The drum is rotated at slow and fast speeds and, during spinning at changing speeds, a washing fluid is applied. The dummy can be linked to a fan blower (13) and a vacuum generator (16). The drum (2) has an opening (9), large enough to take the dummy and garment., and the drum can accommodate a number of dummies.
