PLASMA DISPLAY PANEL DISPLAY AND ITS DRIVING METHOD

A PDP display for displaying an image of high quality and its driving method,by which the cost and power consumption are reduced and a write error during the write period hardly occurs.In the driving method,the length of the erase period D2 is T0+160(µsec)since the number of sustaining pulses during the sustained discharge period C2 is 25 or more and less than 50.The value of the length is set by a T1 setting section according to the information on the number of sustaining pulses sent from a preprocessor in a drive device and a T1 table stored in a T1 table storage section.The T1 setting section sets T1=160(µsec)referring to an extra time T1 corresponding to the number of sustaining pulses of 25 or more and less than 50 in the T1 table.
