A pneumatic tyre comprises a first layer structure 16 of filiform elements, e.g. wires, cables and the like, which are substantially inextensible and incompressible and of less axial width than the tread, and a second layer structure 17 lying radially inwardly of the first and made of a sheet or sheets 17<SP>1</SP>, 17<SP>II</SP> of filiform elements of a textile or like material, e.g. rayon, polyester, nylon, glass fibre, the axially outer edges being folded and the axial width being greater than that of structure 16. Several arrangements of structure 17 are shown with one or more layers in structure 16. All arrangements are said to eliminate layer separation in the breaker. |
