An anti-freeze concentrate for the cooling systems of fuel cells which has a maximum conductivity of 50 microS/cm in ready-to-use condition is based on alkylene glycols (or derivatives) containing 5-membered heterocyclic compounds (azole derivatives) which have: (i) 2 or 3 N or S atoms (but a maximum of 1 S atom); and (ii) an aromatic or saturated 6-membered anelated ring.
