<p>A bumper reinforcement (14) for vehicle installed at the front end of body side members (10) through bumper stays (12), having both end parts (14-2) bent relative to a center part (14-1), and compressed by bending operation, wherein slender recessed parts (18) of partially circular shape in cross section extending in longitudinal direction are formed in the side face (rear face) thereof, and an excess wall produced on the compression side of the reinforcement at the time of bending operation of a rectangular tube material to form the reinforcement is allowed to come into the recessed parts (18), whereby an angle exceeding 10°can be provided without causing wrinkles (buckling).</p> |
