<p>A liquid crystal display device comprises a liquid crystal display unit (11) including a front glass substrate (9) having electrodes, a back glass substrate (10) having transparent electrodes, and a liquid crystal sealed in a pixel region between the substrates (9, 10) in such a way that the electrodes of the two substrates oppose to each other; a circuit substrate unit (6) including an electrode electrical connection controlling LSI (5) mounted on the surface of a glass substrate (3) having transparent wiring electrodes (2); and an FPC (7) for electrically connecting the electrodes of the liquid crystal display unit (11) and the circuit substrate unit (6). The FPC (7) is bent to superpose the liquid crystal display unit (11) on the circuit substrate unit (6). The liquid crystal display device can be manufactured at a low cost in which an LSI can be mounted in a space-saving manner by using the COG technique, the mounted state (the electrically connected state) can be checked visually after the LSI is mounted and the operation of the image display unit can be checked.</p> |
