The invention concerns containers (1) thermoformed in a strip of thermoplastic material (10), filled with a product (17) and topped with membrane seals formed in a seal strip (22). Before said strip (22) is applied on the thermoplastic strip (10), the method consists, for each container, in producing in a workstation (32) a preliminary cut in the thermoplastic strip (10) which defines the periphery of the container rim. When the containers (1) and their seals (42) are cut out, for each container, it consists in cutting through (37), in a workstation (28), the thermoplastic strip (10) and the seal strip (22) over a portion of the remaining part of the container periphery and in producing a complementary cut which passes only through the seal strip (22), which is connected to said cut and which delimits, for each container, a portion of the seal strip forming a pull tab.
