A filter mounting device, comprising a drum (20) for feeding the intermediate products of filter cigarettes and a coke drum (36) for supplying tip paper pieces, wherein the tip paper pieces are wound on the intermediate products while rolling the intermediate products with the tip paper pieces stuck thereon, suction chambers (48, 50) are disposed near the drum (20) for feeding the intermediate products, and the suction ports thereof extend in the feeding direction of the intermediate products along the outer peripheral surface of the drum (20), whereby, since shredded fine powder disturbed by the rotation of the drum (20) is sucked through the intake ports into the suction chambers (48, 50), the intermediate products are isolated from the atmosphere of the shredded fine powder.
