BEADED CHAIN CONNECTOR

A beaded type chain connector includes an external shell (20) and an interna l cavity (22) to secure beads (30, 32) from beaded type chains. The connector is made from a resilient material. The application of force to the beads (30, 3 2) that are secured within the connector results in the release of beads from t he internal cavity (22) when the force exceeds a threshold. The connector can b e used as part of a safety device.
