<p>A subaddress is assigned to a host connected to an internal network. In sending a packet to the host, the subaddress is set as a destination subaddress for the packet. To route such a packet to the internal network, a table of correspondence between sub-addresses and IP addresses is referenced to determine the IP address of the host to which the destination subaddress set to the packet has been assigned. The destination IP address of a packet is overwritten with the determined IP address.</p> |
