<p>A radial combustion motor (100) includes a compression section (104), or a combustion section (102), or both, and cylindrical rotor (406) rotating in a cylindrical chamber (404). An inner wall of each chamber (404) includes ridges (412) such that a rotor (406) divides the chamber (404) into sub-chambers (506) in conjunction with each of the ridges (412). Each rotor (406) includes sealing blade slots (414), that each extends the length of the rotor and slidably receives one of the sealing blades (416). Movement of a compression section-sealing blade (416) across a sub-chamber (506) compresses a fuel mixture in the sub-chamber to produce a compressed fuel mixture, which is conveyed to a sub-chamber (506) via fuel apertures, where the compressed fuel mixture is ignited to produce force applied to the sealing blades, thereby causing the combustion rotor (426), and a shaft (110) coupled to the combustion rotor (426), to rotate.</p> |
