<p>The invention concerns a method for transporting variable-length packets such as AAL2 packets and, optionally, for transporting cells such as ATM cells, in frames of temporal circuits such as E1/T1 frames each broken down into a plurality of timeslots occupied each by an octet. The invention is characterised in that the consecutive octets of each variable-length packet and of each cell are in consecutive timeslots of at least a group of timeslots of said frames, the first octet of a packet or of a cell being placed at a timeslot pointed out by a pointer occupying a specific timeslot of said corresponding group of timeslots.</p> |
