ANALOG TELEVISION SIGNAL RECEIVING METHOD AND DEVICE

An intermediate frequency signal is converted into a digital signal by an A/D converting circuit (4). The digital signal is fed to a video carrier reproducing circuit (5) for reproduction by digital processing and a video demodulating circuit (6). The demodulated video signal is outputted from an output terminal (7). The digital signal from an A/D converting circuit (4) is fed to a phase comparator (11), and the phase of the phase comparison output is compared with that of an oscillation signal from a VCO (12). The phase comparison output of the phase comparator (11) is fed to an adder (13). The video carrier component from the video carrier reproducing circuit (5) is subtracted. The result of the subtraction is fed to a low−pass filter (14), and the demodulated audio signal is taken out from an output terminal (15). Receiving means can be thus used commonly to an analog television signal and a digital television signal.
