<p>The invention concerns a compound based on at least an element A selected among alkaline-earths, at least an element B selected among aluminium, gallium or indium, sulphur and a doping agent capable of providing said compound with luminescent properties. The invention is characterised in that it is in the form of a mixture of a majority crystallographic phase of type AB2S4 and a crystallographic phase of type B2S3. Said compound is prepared by a method which consists in: forming a solution or a suspension comprising salts or sols of elements A, B and doping agent, in a proportion such that the atomic ratio B/(A+doping agent) is at least 2.06; spray drying the solution or suspension; sulphidizing the resulting product. Said compound can be used as luminophore, in particular in cathodoluminescence.</p> |
