<p>Process for bromochloralkanes Title compds useful as nematocides, are prepd. by reacting one or more compds. R1R2C=CR3R4 where R1R4 are H, halogen, Me or Et, opt. substd. by one or two halogen atoms with a mixt. of Cl2 and Br2 opt. dild. in a inert liquid, the mol ratio of Cl2 to Br2 is 1 and the reaction is effected in the presence of catalytic amounts either of O2 or a metal compound, esp. an iron oxide or halide or both.</p> |
