The centrifugal fertilizer spreader has guides mounted over the disks which restrict the width of the spread pattern to an angle of 60 deg or more. This angle is reduced to reduce overlap of the spread patterns from each disk. An Independent claim is included for a method spreading fertilizer using the spreader.
