A device and a method for transmitting information for each region,wherein a device for estimating the present position of a vehicle such as a GPS device and communication equipment such as a cell phone are installed on the vehicle,the vehicle transmits the detected present position to an information center at specified intervals,and the information center sets a plurality of areas in a region to which the information is transmitted and the transmitted information for each area and,when receiving the data indicating the present position of the vehicle from the vehicle,specifies,by using the data,the area where the vehicle is positioned,and transmits the information set for the area to the vehicle. |
