<p>The invention relates to a system for coupling a tooth to its tooth holder in an excavator or the like, wherein the tooth holder is provided with guiding means so that the ears of the tooth in horizontal position can slide vertically guided by the shafts of said ears to a point in which the cavity of the tooth is aligned with the axis of the nose of the tooth holder. The tooth is then displaced in the direction of said axes and in a direction in which the tooth approaches the tooth holder until the shafts of the ears of the tooth are placed in complementary slots of the tooth holder, which are located at the same level as the shafts thereby creating a gap between the tooth holder guiding means and the shafts of the tooth, a pin being inserted in said gap.</p> |
