PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem of an intake control device for an internal combustion engine using a conventional slit structure of inserting a disklike valve in a slit in a shaft and fixedly clamping it with a machine screw, where a slight clearance between a slit width and a valve wall thickness is formed for facilitating the insertion of the valve 3 the machine screw causes a deflection of the shaft when tightened, and is liable to cause a reduction in clamping force of the machine screw 4 and looseness of the machine screw 4. SOLUTION: A valve 13 has thick walled portions 13b formed around insertion holes 13a in which the machine screw 4 is inserted, so that the thick walled portions 13b are firmly seated in the slit 2a. Even when the machine screws 4 are tightened, the shaft 2 is protected from deformation.
