PURPOSE: An apparatus for pulling up sediment is provided which is easily installed and maintained, less broken down or does not delay working accordingly since the apparatus has light weight and high weatherability. CONSTITUTION: The apparatus for pulling up sediment comprises a driving part(10) comprising a motor; a bucket chain part(20) to which a plurality of buckets are adhered by a chain operated by receiving rotary power of the motor; a plurality of guiding shaft parts(31,32,33,34) which are installed along the bucket chain part(20) to change a moving direction of the bucket chain part(20); and a return rail part(40) for forming passageway of the buckets proceeding to the bottom of a grit chamber, wherein all parts except standardized products such as spring and washer are made of plastic materials, the guiding shaft parts(31,32,33,34) comprise front and rear side unit guiding shafts which are concentrical, and the end of which are distanced from each other, and the return rail part comprises a horizontal material which is formed of an FRP (fiber reinforced plastic) angle, and a synthetic resin bracket for connecting the horizontal material to the side wall of the grit chamber.
