PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heavy load pneumatic tire to be particularly mounted on a steering shaft in a truck or the like, having effectively suppressed uneven wear of all types easy to generate at side land portions. SOLUTION: Each of side areas 3a, 3b is provided with one peripheral main groove 4a or 4b arranged extending straight along a tire peripheral direction C and one rib-like side land portion 6a or 6b sectioned continuously extending to the tire peripheral direction C by the arrangement of peripheral main groove 4a or 4b and a tread end 5a or 5b. The peripheral main grooves 4a, 4b are provided with pseudo land portions 7 continuously extending along the grooves, and the side land portions 6a, 6b are provided with auxiliary grooves 8 continuously extending along the tire peripheral direction C and having a relatively shallow groove depth. The side land portions 6a, 6b have a relatively narrow width Ws and their edges 9a on the sides of the peripheral main groove 4a, 4b contain a plurality of multiple sipes 10 having a short cut length and arranged at relatively greater spaces in the tire peripheral direction C. |
