PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect a primary temperature, which varies at every welding, of a member to be welded at a high temperature with a simple method with high reliability and to realize a high quality welding by varying welding conditions according to the primary temperature. SOLUTION: The number of flash generation is measured by the variation in the applied voltage in the flash process when a pair of works to be welded 2a and 2b are welded, the temperature of a high temperature member is discriminated by the measured number of flash generation, and such welding conditions as frequency, secondary voltage, flash quantity and upset quantity are varied based on the discriminated temperature of the high temperature member.
