PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily realize the manufacturing of ice containing minerals and not generating scale, upon manufacturing ice by an ice making device incorporated into a freezing refrigerator. SOLUTION: Marine deep water 10 is supplied into a feed water tank 3 for the ice making device, and is pumped up by a pump 7 through a suction pipe 3a to supply a given amount of water into an ice making pan 5 through a supplying pipe 8. Silica is not contained sometimes in the marine deep water 10, treated through desalting treatment and sold in a market. When such water is used, the water will not react with such ions in the water as magnesium, calcium or the like whereby solid matter such as scale or the like will not be produced during making ice. Further, defoaming is effected by a defoaming means (not shown in the diagram) upon making the ice whereby transparent ice can be manufactured.
