PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat insulating wall structure which can improve its heat insulating properties without damaging its moisture discharging performance. SOLUTION: According to the heat insulating wall structure, a plurality of heat insulating panels 3 are arranged via air layers 2 on a surface of a substrate wall 1, and a gap between side edges of the respective heat insulating panels 3 horizontally adjacent to each other is defined as a moisture discharging channel 4. Then, a moisture-permeable air-tight member 5 having both moisture permeability and air-tightness is arranged between the air layer 2 and the moisture discharging channel 4. Although the moisture in the air layer 2 passes the moisture-permeable air-tight member 5 to be introduced into the moisture discharging channel 4, air in the air layer 2 does not pass the moisture- permeable air-tight member 5 and remains in the air layer 2.
