PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a side window structure of a high degree of design freedom, and low cost, which can be easily manufactured. SOLUTION: In this side window 7 structure for a cabin for installing a glass window to a side door of the cabin of a shovel or the like, an opening part 17 is formed to be cut roughly in a rectangular form roughly from a center of a side window glass 13 to be fixed to a side door frame 9 toward a rear edge and a lower edge. An upper rail frame 19 is installed on the inner side of the side window glass at an upper part of the opening part 17. A lower rail frame 28 is provided on the side door frame 9 at a lower edge of the opening part 17, and a slide window 29 is provided on an upper rail frame 19 and a lower rail frame 28 to close the opening part 17.
