LIQUID CRYSTAL COMPOSITION FOR PROTECTION OF SKIN, COSMETIC AND PHARMACEUTICAL COMPOSITION CONTAINING THE SAME

PURPOSE: A liquid crystal composition for improving skin permeability of a cosmetic composition and stability of a liquid crystal and preventing the oxidation of a skin useful material is provided which permits the skin useful material to sufficiently exert an increased skin protecting effect such as inhibition of skin ageing and inhibition of skin injury caused by ultraviolet rays. CONSTITUTION: This liquid crystal composition contains 0.1 to 50.0% by weight of a crystal forming material, 0.1 to 20.0% by weight of lecithin and 0.01 to 10% by weight of an antioxidizing agent, wherein the crystal forming material contains 0.3 to 20.0 parts by weight of ceramide, 0.1 to 10.0 parts by weight of cholesterol and 1.0 to 20.0 parts by weight of cetostearyl alcohol, and the lecithin is obtained by purifying or hydrating lecithin derived from soybean, egg yolk and seed.
