PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To decrease noises generated by a fan without impairing the air flow to be supplied by the fan. SOLUTION: The fan 1 generating an air flow directed from the low pressure region to the high pressure region is equipped with a hub 2 attached to a base 5 rotatably, a plurality of blades 3 installed on the hub 2 and protruding in the radial direction substantially from the hub 2 toward the farther end, a stationary venturi 4 attached to the base 5 and having an inner surface 10 arranged in rotational symmetry about the hub 2, and winglet 12 attached to the blade 3 in a position away from the hub 2 and located in a plane perpendicular to the radial direction of the blade 3. The winglet 12 hinders substantially the leaked air flow around the farther end of the blade 3 directed from the high pressure region to the low pressure region.
