PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a silver salt photothermographic dry imaging material having high image quality and excellent in silver tone, image preservability and solid state properties of a film while using a small amount of silver and to provide an image recording method and an image forming method each using the material. SOLUTION: In the silver salt photothermographic dry imaging material having an organic silver carboxylate, photosensitive silver halide grains and a binder on the support, the emulsion of a photosensitive layer has been chemically sensitized and at least one compound of formula (1-1) or (1-2) is contained.
