PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a processing method for a silver halide photographic sensitive material, by which a processed film is free of stain and blackening and flawing of a cut edge in running processing and silver sludge is not caused. SOLUTION: In the processing method, a silver halide photographic sensitive materials containing a hydrazine derivative, an acidic polymer containing >=20 mol% monomer having an acidic group and a hydrophobic polymer having <=50 deg.C glass transition temperature and containing <=20 mol% monomer having an acidic group is processed with a hydroquinone-free processing solution containing ascorbic acid or its derivative or a processing solution containing at least one selected from hydroquinone, hydroquinone monosulfonate, 3,4,5- trihydroxybenzoic acid and 4-amino-3-methyl-N-ethyl-N-(methanesulfonamidoyl).
